Dugout is a proprietary software built and used by Centerfield Media. The platform is used to track, analyze, and optimize customer acquisition at scale for a list of leading global advertisers.
As a platform used by a variety of different internal teams from media buyers to data scientists, Dugout requires extensive filtering options so that all users can slice and dice data to meet their individual requirements.
After shadowing the core users of the platform, I came to realize our users’ collective pain of actually getting to the information they need. There were multiple layers of filters that were unorganized and uncategorized, posing visual clutter and proving to be time consuming to maneuver.
As part of a revamping initiative prior to exposing the platform to external users, I worked through the usability of filters and searching within the tables across the Dugout platform.
